New Year...New New

I haven't blogged in 2 months, so Forgive me!! I had to wrap up a few things and now I'm Back!! Christmas is in a day. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas. Then the next week it will be the start of a New Year. I know most are preparing those New Year's resolutions and hoping to change and or delete people and things that did not work for 2009. Well, I wish you the best with that.
I have made changes through the year (as I always do) it works for me that way...You know the old saying, "A season for all." So true... I love the "NewNew" I flip it on people constantly. You should constantly reinvent yourself for the better. I suggest you evaluate yourself and situations just like your job does. If it is not working, try change. DON'T wait until the New Year...DO IT now.. My cousin brought that to my attention about my own situation. He said, "you talk that cash money *ish, make it happen." I thought about it, I have never been the one for weakness, so why start now? I got my act right together and the change has been for the best.
So as the new year is rolling in, do those evaluations so that you are on the path to NewNew...that why it sticks and becomes permanent...So as 2010 begins, so do you!!

What are we Really Giving our Kids?

I have always strived to do the best. I have always wanted the very best out of life; I strive for it daily. Sitting here reading through some emails, it came to my attention; having the best is good, but out of that, what do I want to give to my child? I mean outside of THINGS, I want to give her something that stands the test of time. Do I give her my very first set of Pearls? A quilt from her Great Great Grandmother? Some great photos from family moments? What?

I went to college with the mindset like so many others who seek betterment. To have all the things I didn't have as a child was the main thing that college would afford me; a better chance at life. I wanted the job, house, car, husband, then the kids. Most importantly, I wanted the family life. To show my daughter, that you can achieve anything, but the greatest of those is the religion and family aspect. We give our kids just about any and everything they ask for. We show them that there is really No Limit to what money can buy. We buy them Jordans at birth, diamond earrings at age 5, Coach at age 10, New car at age 16, and what ever else after that. And yes, I am guilty of those things too, but What are we really giving our kids. Are we giving them the morals and know-how they need to succeed in life? Are we teaching them to be selfLESS and Self-sufficient and more importantly Good decision makers? Are we instilling (infusing slowly) in them good Religion.. In the case of me and my child, GOD!!! Are we adament that they seek Sunday morning worship just like Monday morning school? Those things are more important than anything else. Are we spending time with THEM? Not just riding in the car to go to the movies but are we really spending time (talking) to our kids? Bonding as parent and child, not friend to friend, but letting our children know we are here and we listen; not critizing or condemning them.

See I believe that if we spent time really bonding with our children, they will grow up to be really good and productive citizens. But if we think that we can just give them because we never had it, and not teach them, then we have set them up for failure. Having children really is a gift from GOD that we need to embrace from that moment of finding out until that moment is no more. We as parents are our childrens first teacher. Give them something they will always have, when time is hard and the bank is closed, Give them you! IF you can't give them nothing else, Give them what sustained you, strengthened you: GOD!!

Loving Kayce Always!! *TEAR*

CHILD support or Not?!?!

(SMH & SMILING) Yeah, I am going there! I have read it from Nicole Bitchie's blog to BET's Blogs and now I am weighing in on this topic myself. First, I am going to give my point. (But you are going to hear my point anyway (LOL). I believe that a child should be taken care of regardless of your responsibilities and regardless if his dad steps up or not. What can you get if he chooses not to do anything? Nothing from Nothing is well= Nothing. Exactly! Whether the dad is in the picture or not. I belive that as a woman; a single parent at that! But is it neccessary to pay $50,ooo a month in child/spousal support. But there are certain conditions that should be taken into consideration, okay and I will elaborate on them. (PLEASE FEEL FREE TO COMMENT!)

Lately, in the news I have heard of the the outrageous numbers given for child support or spousal support or what the hell ever the judge saw fit to give. I believe in most cases, that is exactly what the judge did. And I laughed everytime. It is sad. Sad on both the part of the man and woman. How is that? I believe that a father should care for a child he fathered if that child will remain with the mom jointly or vise versa. Yeah, you ladies that have and leave should be paying child support to the daddy or whoever is caring for the child. But there should be restrictions. If the parents can't comprimise a solutions then there should be a legal mediator, at least for the little people with regular salaries. See the average working dad (I'll say dad, because I know a few dad's who are hard workers and pay child support on time) makes about $55,000 year.. and say he pays $600 in child support until the child is 18. (let's hope the mother wasn't pissed and had it where he had to pay until age 21 or back child support). If the mother uses that money solely for the kids needs, there shouldn't be any problem! But in most cases, there are. She doesn't do right by the dollar and the child is shit out of luck and by the time the last check is paid, the kid doesn't even have savings for college.. that is why I say the average man should have a mediator that is there on behalf of the child's sake and not the damn parent. There is this saying "that it is cheaper to keep her." But in the year of the Gold Strikers I'd say "It's better to Ejaculate on the floor" or some other exciting place than the VaJayJay!!

And for the celebs, you have all this money, I suggest you get a tight Pre-nuptial aggreement or if you are like my Guys 50 cent or P. Diddy, who don't love em' enough to say "I do" just yet, get a tight Contract arrangment with your significant other, stating your monetary payments for just those incidents that may occur. Because your life styles are a little bit more extreme than the average man, so your kids will be privileged to a certain lifestyle. * note: child support is a reflection of the yearly salary!

To be on the safe side, just Beware of the company you keep!!

Hateritis-Disease to Look out for!!!

I know that isn't a word, but Beyonce' got "Bootylicious" in the dictionary, so I am sure Hateritis can constitute as a word. And if not, this is my blog and I claim it to be a word (period). So the definition I give is: Hateristis- a virus caused by jealousy, envy, and hate; or lack of accomplishing your goals.

So many people have it today; and not just young people, older people are catching it as well. People not wanting to work for their keep or feeling privileged. OMGosh, it is really hard to go about your day to day activities if you don't have confidence in yourself. You have to be careful of the company you keep, because Hateritis spreads quickly with the unhumbled and ungrounded. I am just saying: Whatever you do, do it well, and to your full ability. Take care of yourself, because that is all that matters. You can't keep up with the Joneses, they got their own problems!
